Green Peace, Studio Smack Releases The Lion King-Inspired Video

green peace the lion king

Dutch animation outfit Studio Smack and Greenpeace have recently released a video designed to spread awareness about the alarming rate of disappearing species, with the video using the title sequence from Walt Disney’s The Lion King. The only difference is that they showed the animals fading one by one until there’s nothing left but the backgrounds and the music playing:

“Hack into Disney’s classic The Lion King, where we removed all animals from the movie’s title sequence,” reads a message on the Studio Smack Vimeo page. “Leaving us with the beautiful yet oppressive backgrounds of the African savanna.”
