Nintendo Debuts Female Link, Linkle, in Hyrule Warriors Legends

Now we can lay all the “Female Zelda” memes to rest, as Nintendo has just introduced a female version of Link, dubbed Linkle, as an upcoming playable character in Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Linkle’s existence is already known to many fans, due to her appearance as a concept art in a Hyrule Warriors art book, but this time we get to see her in action, fighting waves upon waves of baddies in the 3DS port of the Musou-style Zelda game.

You can check out Linkle in the Nintendo Direct presentation below:

Hyrule Warriors Legends hits Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 21, 2016, with a Q1 2016 western release to follow.
