Indie animation studio Oxinfree Studios, which is staffed by volunteers who want to help shape communities and bring people together locally and globally, has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for an animated edutainment series for children that shines a spotlight on the everyday lives of children growing up in Tanzania.
Titled Azadae, the series originally started out as a student film, with the creators consulting with Tanzanian University students in order to ensure that their storylines and characters are as culturally accurate as possible. While their main goal is to broadcast the series to Tanzanian TV stations (thereby providing Tanzania with their own children’s media), the series is also designed to be entertaining and educational for kids everywhere, and they have plans of eventually making the series available internationally.
To date, the studio is already close to finishing their 4 minute pilot short for the series, and they’re going to need people’s help in funding the project. You can learn more about Azadae as well as the Kickstarter perks by visiting their page at
