Disney Europe Middle East & Africa have recently announced the start of production for a second season of the hit animated action comedy series, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, which has been scheduled to return to the small screens in early 2014. The series will be airing once again on Disney XD in more than 129 countries all over the globe.

Multi-award winning animation studios Boulder Media and Titmouse Inc. will be returning to produce 52 x 11 minute episodes of Randy Cunningham: Ninth Grade Ninja for Disney XD. Each of the eleven minute episodes will follow randy Cunningham and his best buddy Howard as they try to navigate everyday teenage life at Highschool while saving the world from monsters, madmen, and the henchmen of an evil 800 year old Sorcerer imprisoned underneath their high school.

“Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja is our most global animated production yet, produced in Europe and drawing on talent from both sides of the Atlantic,” commented David Levine, Vice President, Programming, Production and Strategic Development, Disney Channels EMEA. “Great animation can come from anywhere in the world and this show demonstrates Disney XD’s commitment to finding those animators to produce entertaining shows for our fans.”

“With a second season of Randy Cunningham, I’m thrilled that we will be able to share with our Disney XD fans around the world more hilarious, action-packed buddy comedy stories that just happen to involve a ninja saving the planet from unspeakable evil,” commented Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.
