Street Fighter’s Ryu Beats Up a Car in Turkish Commercial

If you’re a fan of the Street Fighter franchise (especially if you’ve been a fan since the 90s), you’re going to love the new commercial from the Turkish insurance company Anadolu Sigorta, as it features one of the most recognizable parts of the franchise: the car-wrecking bonus stage. And they’ve done it using a mix of animated sprites and live action footage that mimics the original videogame’s background scene.

The commercial features a guy being interviewed by a reporter about whether his car is insured. The guy feels confident that nothing bad will happen to his car, which means he doesn’t need any insurance. Enter: Gouki’s greatest student and master of shotokan, Ryu. The rest, you should watch for yourself:

Neil Raymundo

A cowardly and treacherous Toonbarn blogger who can transform into a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. Secretly wants to replace Toonbarn Rob as leader of the Decepticons.
