Toonami to Celebrate US Independence Day with Dragon Ball Z Marathon

It may seem odd to some, but there’s a subversively amusing tinge to Adult Swim’s latest plan, which is for their Toonami block to celebrate July 4th with a marathon of one of Japan’s most enduring contributions to pop culture: Dragon Ball Z.

People who dislike fillers will be glad to know that they’ll airing Dragon Ball Z Kai episodes, so the viewing is going to be as streamlined as it’s ever going to get in terms of Dragon Ball Z.

The marathon will run for 3 hours starting at midnight on July 4th, followed by – strangely enough – Attack on Titan at 3:00 am.
