Ubisoft Taps Stoopid Buddy Stoodios for Toy Soldiers: War Chest Trailer
Ubisoft has recently released the follow-up to the toy-inspired RTS/Tower Defense hybrid game Toy Soldiers, which gave players the chance to play with all sorts of virtual toys and action figures from the comforts of their desktop PCs. The follow up is titled Toy Soldiers: War Chest, and it aims to crank the intensity of the battles a couple of notches higher by adding a few recognizable retro franchises to the mix, including Masters of the Universe and G.I. Joe, alongside some of Ubisoft’s own properties (such as the Assassin’s Creed franchise).
In order to promote the launch, Ubisoft partnered with the studio behind Robot Chicken, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, in order to create a hybrid live-action/stop motion video trailer. The trailer features a bored office employee spending his downtime staging fights between various action figures.
The official description:
Eight armies. One toy box to defend. The Toy Soldiers: War Chest Hall of Fame Edition is a fast-paced genre-bending mix of strategy defense and action gameplay that brings to life the iconic toys and action figures from your childhood.
Available digitally on PC, PS4 and Xbox One
