Last Monday, the teaser for Toy Story 4 was unveiled, providing long-time fans a very brief glimpse into what’s in store when Disney-Pixar revisits the franchise. Not letting the momentum go to waste, Disney-Pixar released a new video teaser. This time around, it’s a tongue-pressed-firmly-in-cheek “reaction” video featuring two adorable carnival toys talking about the teaser, and perfecting Buzz Lightyear’s trademark catchphrase.
What’s really notable about the reaction video is the voice cast. The two adorable carnival toys are voiced by the audiacious comedic duo of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. The video is a lot more crass than what you’d expect from an official Toy Story tie-in, but nothing that will warrant more than a PG warning. Check it out below:
“Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who voice Ducky and Bunny, are two of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever seen,” said director Josh Cooley. “Of course, they are effortlessly funny, which would be enough. But they are incredible actors that understand story. Their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story motivated which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.”
Toy Story 4 arrives in U.S. theaters June 21, 2019.
