Cartoon Network provides first Transformers Cyberverse footage

Hasbro has been pretty quiet about the new Transformers Cyberverse animated series. With a fall launch ever drawing closer, television partner Cartoon Network has shared the first public footage of the show seen outside of a Comic-Con panel.

The new clip showcases Windblade confronting a confused Bumblebee before the two are joined by the Decepticon Thundercracker:

Bumblebee is on a critical mission where lives are at stake! Only, he can’t remember what it is? As Windblade helps repair his damaged memory chips, the Decepticons are hot on their heels, and time is running out. Join this epic Transformers adventure told through the eyes of Cybertron’s coolest hero!

Produced in Ireland at the Hasbro-owned Boulder Media, Transformers Cyberverse’s first season will consist of 18 eleven-minute episodes.

A release date for Transformers Cybververse hasn’t been announced for the United States, though international broadcasts may provide a clue. In the Netherlands, the series will begin airing on RTL7 starting September 2nd. France’s Gulli will also begin airing the series sometime next month.

Cyberverse isn’t the only upcoming Transformers animated series either. Hasbro and Boulder are working on Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, which is scheduled to debut sometime this fall on Discovery Family.
