Transformers Prime Debut Trailer and Gameplay Preview

Hasbro’s latest videogame based on their Transformers Prime franchise is scheduled to roll out this year for both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS systems via Now Production, and for the Nintendo DS via Altron Corporation. A couple of clips have been released recently, one serving as the official debut trailer, and the other highlighting the gameplay:

The debut trailer is a little bit disappointing, as it fails to show any actual gameplay footage (if the motion-comic like clips are actual gameplay, then it’s safe to say that the Transformers Prime game is going to be a waste of the 3DS and Wii’s hardware). Thankfully, the gameplay trailer (if it can be even called that) shows actual in-game content. It’s just not clear if it’s showing CG-cutscenes or actual gameplay that was just cut and edited into a trailer with a simple narrative:
