ToonBarn visits Voltron Headquarters: Jeremy Corray Interview, Part 1
Welcome to Voltron Week at ToonBarn !!!
Recently, ToonBarn visited World Events Productions (a.k.a. Voltron Headquarters) in St. Louis, Missouri, for a Behind-the-Scenes Tour, and exclusive interviews with Jeremy Corray (Voltron Force Supervising Producer) and Bob Koplar (Voltron Force Executive Producer).
Besides running around like a kid in a candy store, surrounded by hundreds of Voltron toys and memorabilia, we did actually complete the trip with some great footage from inside the offices at World Events Productions. You are about to see some really in-depth interviews that people outside of St. Louis rarely get from the creators of Voltron.
Stay tuned to ToonBarn all week, as Jeremy Corray’s 3-part interview starts today with Part 1, and continues tomorrow and Wednesday.
Then, on Thursday and Friday, we’ll be bringing you Bob Koplar’s interview in 2 Parts.
Also, as a special treat to all Voltron fans, World Events Productions has provided ToonBarn with 3 Voltron Prize packs, to be given out to 3 lucky ToonBarn viewers at the end of Voltron Week. Please note that you must be a registered ToonBarn member to be eligible to win. If you haven’t signed up, you can do it at this link:
As a registered ToonBarn member, to enter the contest, simply comment about what is discussed in the interview videos on any of the Voltron Week stories. 3 winners will be announced Friday, from the pool of comments received.
Today’s interview focuses on Jeremy Corray’s role as Supervising Producer, how he enjoyed writing the Sven Returns Episode, “Ghost in the Lion”, and his appreciation of ToonBarn’s support of the Voltron Force cartoons on Nicktoons. Tuesday’s interview changes its focus to merchandise including toys and comic books, how the live-action Voltron Movie is coming along, and which conventions Voltron is going to be attending. In the last Jeremy Corray interview, Wednesday’s video brings focus back to Voltron Force, discussing episodes like “Rogue Trip”, “Gary” and “Five Forged”, the origins and the mythology of Voltron, how the cadets became Voltron Force members, and what may be in store for Season 2 of Voltron Force.
Thursday and Friday’s interviews with Bob Koplar discuss his role with getting Voltron on Nicktoons, his favorite Season 1 episodes, his favorite Voltron toys, the Voltron Movie, and the question on everyone’s mind…. Which is better, Voltron or Voltron Force?
Keep coming back to see all the interview videos, only on a super-special Voltron Week… on ToonBarn.
