Walt Disney Studios has recently brought the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to life with the Blu Ray and Digital release of The Tigger Movie last Monday, August 21, 2012. The Tigger Movie is a special milestone in A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh franchise as it marks the first Winnie the Pooh movie released through Walt Disney Studios that isn’t just a collection of previously released short. It was The Tigger Movie’s success back in 2000 that led to more feature-length Pooh movies such as Piglet’s Big Movie in 2003 and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie in 2005.

The Tigger Movie follows our favorite bouncing tiger as he goes on a quest to find other tiggers in his family tree. Through a series of exciting adventures, Tigger comes across the realization that a family can come in all shapes and sizes.



The Tigger Movie Blu-Ray Combo Pack not only provides hours of fun via Tigger’s adventures, it also contains a buncha bonus materials that is sure to be a hit with kids: pausing the film allows viewers to participate in a variety of Hundred Acre Wood themed games such as guess the character and spot the differences. The pack also contains “A Tigger Tale” featurette, wherein the filmmakers discuss how Tigger’s literary and film history affected The Tigger Movie.

The Tigger Movie 2 Disc Blu-Ray Combo Pack and the single disc DVD is Available Now under the MSRP of $39.99 for the Blu Ray pack and $29.99 for the DVD. The movie is also available via Digital Download through various digital retailers (prices for the digital copy will vary depending on your choice of retailer)
