New Licensing Plans for Winx Club Announced

Italian animation studio Rainbow has just announced a new batch of licensing agents for their popular brand Winx Club during London’s Brand Licensing Show. The new licensees consist of CPLG for Germany and Benelux; RBW for Brunei, Malaysi, Singapore and Thailand; Tuesday (Bates Group) Indonesia; License2Brand in Greece and FWD Licensing in UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Oman, Saudi-Arabia, Tunisia and Morocco.

The new raft of deals will join prior licensing agreements for Winx Club with France Television in France, Filma in Turkey, Zero A Oito in Portugal and CLM in South Africa. Winx Club dolls are produced for the worldwide market by Witty Toys, part of the Rainbow Group, except in North America, Australia and New Zealand and UK where Jakks Pacific is the master toy licensee producing and distributing the dolls.

WinX Club is currently considered as one of Rainbow’s most successful brands, as it continues to be one of the most popular TV shows worldwide as well as a massive retail hit. Aimed towards 4-12 year olds, the series currently has 104 TV episodes and four TV movies that have aired in more than 130 countries. Season 5 is currently in production with the help of Nickelodeon, and is scheduled to air this fall.
