Starz adds Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions

4K Media has announced that U.S. premium broadcaster Starz has picked up Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions. The move comes after the franchise’s latest feature saw a theatrical launch across many international territories, including North America, in 2017.

“We are excited for this partnership, especially since Starz picked up the home-video rights for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions,” said Kristen Gray, the senior VP of operations and business and legal affairs at 4K Media. “With this, Starz becomes America’s one-stop shop for fans to view Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions in the comfort of their homes.”

The film premiered on the main Starz channel on April 12th at 8:09 AM. It will air on Starz Kids & Family on May 5th at 3:53 AM and 12 PM. Alongside the first season of the show and the second film, Dark Side of Dimensions is also available through their on-demand platforms.

The pay network was purchased by Lionsgate in December 2016. Lionsgate released Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions on DVD and Blu-Ray in North America last summer through their Anchor Bay division.

The newest Yu-Gi-Oh! feature reunites the show’s original cast and celebrates the 20th anniversary of the debut of Kazuki Takahashi’s manga series. It opened in Japan in April 2016.
