Plans include for the service to work with Android devices as well as the Xbox 360. Comcast has already partnered with Disney, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, and Cookie Jar Entertainment to provide content for the service. No word on which programs will be available, but those companies sure do make a lot of cartoons….

Superbowl Sunday Cartoon Marathons

Superbowl Sunday Cartoon Marathons

Just last Sunday, roughly three-quarters of the nation, and a decent-sized chunk of the world, was enthralled with the Super Bowl battle between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. As the NFL season comes to a close, every football fan does what they can to soak in the day. But let’s not forget, even with that huge audience, there are still people out there who would rather spend their time cartooning. Thankfully, several channels and networks did what they could to offer an alternative to the big game, including a bunch of Super Marathons.

South Park gets a new console game for 2012

After thirteen long years and, admittedly, a dozen or more quality online games, Trey and Matt will try their hand once again at a South Park based console game! “South Park: The Game” will be a role-player for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and is expected to debut sometime in the second half of next year. Some fans (ok, very few) may remember the South Park game for N64 that came out in 1998. Apparently it did pretty badly in the eyes of critics and, more importantly, in the eyes of gamers. Lucky for us, it lead to a slew of great online games to hold us over until now.

As a way of sticking it to the people (particularly former fans) who kept saying that South Park is on its last legs and should end soon, Comedy Central’s president Michele Ganeless has recently announced that the cable network has inked a new deal with the South Park creators.
