Young Horses has announced a January 30th release date for its highly anticipated sequel to Octodad. Dadliest Catch will be available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux. You can also expect to find it on Humble and GOG. The developer hopes to expand to the PS4 by March, according to creator Philip Tibitoski.

However, Octodad: Dadliest Catch takes you to the grocery store, the backyard, and even an aquarium. You must control Octodad and help him blend in with normal humans – if you don’t, he might be the new dish at the local seafood buffet! Barbie: The Pearl Princess Comes To Shore in March

I’ve always had a soft spot for these movies. You’d think the overabundance of pink, lacy gowns and talking animals would send me over the edge, but I keep coming back for more. It’s a guilty pleasure that doesn’t come up in normal conversation, and one that I can’t shake even after finding out that this is her 27th CGI-animated talkie.

Barbie: The Pearl Princess is the latest movie/merchandise fusion to come from Mattel. The plan is to release it on March 11, 2014 as a Combo Pack that includes Blu Ray, DVD, and digital HD. Digital HD allows you to download a digital version of the movie and watch it on a tablet or other device.

Barbie stars as Lumina, a mermaid who dreams of being a princess. As long as she can remember, she’s had a magical power that makes pearls dance and glow! Lumina, and her best friend Kuda, a pink seahorse, embark on an adventure to a majestic mer-kingdom.

New Sailor Moon Anime to Debut in July

sailor moon

Any anime fan worth their salt knows about Sailor Moon in some capacity. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this immensely popular franchise, Toei is releasing a new anime series in July of 2014. If you don’t live in Japan, don’t worry – the series is going to be streamed worldwide on Niconico. It will carry subtitles in 10 different languages.

The series was supposed to premiere last summer. However, it suffered from a delay, much to the annoyance and frustration of loyal fans. The following people are on the staff:

Crunchyroll to Stream Rurouni Kenshin in English and Japanese

If you can’t get enough of older anime – especially anime featuring guys fighting other guys – this is news that you may want to note. Crunchyroll announced the release of Rurouni Kenshin in both English and Japanese. People who use Crunchyroll may view the anime on their PC or a tablet. Unfortunately, if you didn’t pay to become a premium member, you’ll have to wait until January to whet your battosai appetite. It’s not a big deal, though, since January is right around the corner. Yes, 2014 is that close. You may want to start grumbling now and save yourself time in the long run.

Discotek Media Wants You to Beware of Samurai Pizza Cats Bootlegs

Whether we like to admit it or not, most of us run across bootlegs in our respective hobbies. You may have a bootleg DVD that you accidentally purchased at an otherwise legitimate media store. If this isn’t the case, maybe your grandma gave you a knockoff video game system for Christmas. You know, the sort of thing that seems official but gives off a strange vibe. It might be the plethora of typos, or it may be the fact that it looks like something printed from a home computer in two minutes. No matter what bootlegs offer, it’s important to stay away from them and support official releases.
