Last week, Nickelodeon debuted The Penguins of Madagascar President’s Day special, Dr. Blowhole’s Revenge, earning the top ratings spot for the evening. The episode featured special guest star Neil Patrick Harris, star of “How I Met Your Mother”, as the penguins’ long-time nemesis out for revenge and to finally conquer the world. Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private face off against the malevolent Dr. Blowhole, attempting to foil his plans. The evil dolphin aims to kidnap King Julien, who Dr. Blowhole mistakenly thinks is Skipper’s best friend. Take a look at a clip of the episode right here

Nickelodeon’s recent debut of The Penguins of Madagascar, which immediately followed the the 22nd annual Kids’ Choice Awards, was the network’s most watched series premiere ever! 6.1 million people tuned in to see the toon, co-produced by DreamWorks Animation SKG and Nickelodeon. The previous record holder was 2003’s All Grown Up, which had 5.2 million viewers.

Nickelodeon’s 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards is fast approaching (Saturday, March 28th at 8pm), which is a lot to be excited about.  But perhaps even more exciting is that, immediately after the awards show is done, Nick will be debuting the new CG animated series The Penguins of Madagascar!  The show, which is a production between Nickelodeon and DreamWorks Animation,will air at 9:30 pm that night, then every night after that, at 8pm, for two weeks.  After that marathon, the show will move to its regular Saturday morning time slot at 10am on April 18th.

Mundo Nick (Nickelodeon Latin America) announces its lineup

Mundo NickNickelodeon Latin America has spouted off its lineup of shows that you guys down there will love!  In addition to the shows already there last season (iCarly, Naked Brothers Band, Fairly OddParents, Tak and the Power of Juju, and SpongeBob SquarePants) the new season will include: The Mighty B!, The Penguins of Madagascar, Speed Racer, Jimmy Two Shoes, Back at the Barnyard, True Jackson VP, and The Elephant Princess.  Fans of Nick Jr. Latin America will also get to see Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
