Phineas and Ferb Gets Lost

This coming September 29, the hit animated comedy series Phineas and Ferb will be paying tribute to the iconic ABC series Lost, via an episode written by Lost co-creator and writer Damon Lindeloff. The episode will also feature Lost fan-favorite Terry O’ Quinn as a guest star.

Titled “Lost in Danville,” Phineas and Ferb’s Lost tribute episode will also feature the voices of Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle) and Rob Morrow (Numb3rs). The episode will air on Sept 29 at 7:30 pm ET/PT on Disney XD.

The official synopsis of the episode:

The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart to Guest on Phineas and Ferb

Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh’s extremely popular animated comedy series Phineas and Ferb will be adding another popular – and unlikely – name to its list of guest stars: The Daily Show’s host, Jon Stewart. The episode is titled “The Klimpaloon Ultimatum,” and is scheduled to air on July 7, 10:30 AM ET/PT on the Disney Channel.

The official synopsis of the episode:

Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars to Premiere in July

This coming July 26, Saturday, at 9:00 – 10:00 pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel, Phineas, Ferb, and the rest of the gang will be meeting Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D, and other iconic star wars characters in the brand new television special titled “Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars.”

Avid Star Wars fans and “Phineas and Ferb” creators/executive producers, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh make cameos as themselves in the animated special.

Jay Leno to Guest in Phineas and Ferb Save Summer

Talk Show legend Jay Leno will be serving as a guest voice actor to the upcoming Phineas and Ferb one-hour special, Phineas and Ferb Save Summer, which premieres this coming June 9 at 10 AM on Disney XD.

In Phineas and Ferb Save Summer, Jay Leno will be lending his voice to the character Colonel Contraction, who is Major Monogram’s boss. The special has Phineas, Ferb, and the gang hosting a global summer concert, which coincides with Doofenshmirtz’s latest “-inator” invention moving the Earth, which puts summer itself in jeopardy.

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel Debuts Tonight on Disney Channel

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel debuts tonight at 8 PM ET on Disney Channel

Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel is a special 1-hour episode which airs tonight (Friday, August 16), at 8 PM ET on Disney Channel. This is the first crossover between the Phineas and Ferb characters and the Marvel Superheroes. If you want to know why Captain America is missing, and Spiderman is on the team, it all has to do with Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh playing favorites. They like Spiderman. Captain America… not so much. I think we all agree Spidey has more opportunity for hilarious one-liners than Cap.

According to Dan Povenmire, the challenge for this crossover, or any crossover for that matter, is pleasing fans of both camps. He has talked about it in interviews leading up to tonight’s debut on Disney Channel. Doing something Marvel fans may think is cheesy or violates the characters would make fans upset. It had to work for both sides. We had a chance to see the episode on the Disney Channel iPad app, and we think it works perfectly.

Phineas and Ferb to Visit a Galaxy Far, Far Away

By now, fans of Disney’s hit animated comedy series Phineas and Ferb have already watched (and enjoyed! like we did) their crossover special with Marvel via summer’s Mission Marvel, but we all better get ready for another inter-franchise crossover, as series creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh have announced at the recent Comic-Con that Phineas and Ferb, along with Perry, will be transported to the world of Star Wars in a brand-spanking new adventure slated for a 2014 premiere on Disney and Disney XD.

Phineas and Ferb doesn’t really seem like the kind of show that Marvel’s superheroes would visit as part of an official crossover, but with Disney being owners of Marvel, and with Marvel Superhero Squad showing that the franchise has legs as a kid-oriented comedy show, you sort of understand how it could work. Case in point: the big Mission Marvel crossover special, which premieres this summer.
