Winx Club Stella Dressup

pinkygirls-winx-club-stella

Pinky from PinkyGirlGames.com has recently released a new dress up game based on the hit girl property Winx Club, titled “Winx Club Stella Dressup.” You can try the game directly from your browser (provided that your browser supports Flash. Sorry Safari users).

As the title implies, Winx Club Stella Dressup only supports the fun-loving Winx club member Stella right now. Based on fanpolls, she’s not exactly the most popular member but if the daughter of the Sun and the Moon is your favorite, or you’re just looking for a game that lets you play dressup with a Winx Club member, then this will let you while away an entire afternoon just trying out different dresses, accessories, hairstyles, and even wings.

Why I miss 4Kids Entertainment, and the problems with Saban’s Vortexx

toonzaki

Thankfully, Toonbarn has done well to show what has happened to Toonzai/Toonzaki and so on. However, here is a point people tend to forget: 4kids was different from the other kids’ companies that existed during and after the last 10 or so years. You have to realize the type of marketplace that existed when the company was at its peak and when it passed on. The problem with people’s recollection of the history of 4Kids is that it doesn’t tell the whole story about why 4Kids did what it did and what it could have done better.

Nickelodeon magically works on Winx Club toys

Nickelodeon magically works on Winx Club toys

They might have a great deal of magic, and magix, to back up their beauty, but the Winx fairies don’t know all that much about making toys and products and such. Thus, the good folks at Nickelodeon decided they’d partner with the experts at JAKKS Pacific as the master toy licensee for the Winx Club. Included in the deal are all types of figures and bags and other goodies based on the animated fantasy toon. Dolls, playsets, role play costumes, dress-up and Halloween costumes, and other highlights are expected to be amongst the best sellers. Now’s your chance to look like Bloom, Aisha, Stella, Flora, Musa, or Tecna!

Rainbow and Paramount are Not Born To Be Gladiators

Rainbow and Paramount are Not Born To Be Gladiators

Gladiators have received a lot of heat lately, from the Spartacus television series, even dating back to the Russel Crowe Gladiator film. Heck, Disney even tried to get in on the game a little bit with the animated feature Hercules. Now, Rainbow, Paramount, and Medusa are hoping to top all those before them with their Gladiator parody, an upcoming 3D and CG feature film called Not Born to be Gladiators. The story follows Timo, a young orphan who survived the Pompeii disaster. When the boy is rescued by General Chirone, there’s only one proper place for him; the Gladiator’s Academy of Rome. Not that he’s the greatest Gladiator – Timo wants nothing to do with the events. That is, until Lucilla shows up, and it’s love at first sight. Can Timo triumph over Cassio and win Lucilla’s heart? Will Diana train him properly for the Coliseum? We’ll just have to wait for the film to find out!
