How to Train Your Dragon tops in DVD sales

Even years ago, DreamWorks knew they had a dragon of a blockbuster on their hands. In the early stages of How to Train Your Dragon, there was already hopes of a franchise, or perhaps several franchises, being born from the film. Movies, sequels, an animated series, shorts and specials focusing on just the Vikings or just the Dragons, etc. Tackling this specific, mythical set of genres gave DreamWorks Animation the ability to dream big things. This thought was first rewarded in theaters, as the 3D and CG film pulled in over $200 million dollars at the box office. This past weekend marked another major milestone, with the home version being released on DVD and Blu-ray, and reports coming in Nationwide about various retail locations selling out every copy. With the holiday season quickly approaching, How to Train Your Dragon would make for quite a hot gift — anyone lucky enough to get their hands (claws?) on it yet?
