How to Train Your Dragon 3 Pushed Back to 2017

Originally announced for a June 17 2016 release, the third installment in Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragons franchise is suffering another setback as it has been pushed back to June 9, 2017, where it will occupy the schedule in between The LEGO Movie sequel and an untitled Pixar film.

There are no details released on why the project was pushed back, but it’s certainly not due to poor performance of the 2nd film, because How to Train Your Dragon 2 was met with widespread critical acclaim and performed well in the box office (though it made $40 million less than the first film in the US.)
