I think we’re pretty much done with rumors and speculations over Avengers: Age of Uiltron, so now we’re moving on and tackling rumors and speculations over Avengers 3. The first one of which is that Dave Bautista’s Drax the Destroyer will have a significant role in the third Avengers film.
The details came from wrestling-related site PW Mania, in which former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista is said to have been offered a new deal by Marvel, one in which his character Drax will be incorporated into the Avengers lineup, in what the site describes as “a major role.”
Now, remember the previous rumors that say Age of Ultron will have Captain America assembling a new team towards the film’s end. If that one is true, then we probably have the right set up for Drax’s appearance in the third film. Even if Drax isn’t going to be a member, there’s also director James Gunn’s previous claim that Guardians will be linked to The Avengers 3 by way of Thanos. Either way, Dave Bautista showed some nice comedic chops in Guardians and he can certainly handle himself in action scenes, so we don’t doubt that he’ll be a welcome addition to the cast of Avengers 3.
