Cartoon Network and DreamWorks sign How To Train Your Dragon series

Let’s make it official! How to Train Your Dragon, the 3D theatrical blockbuster (and recent home blockbuster) is now having a regular television series based on the film. DreamWorks Animation is working with Cartoon Network on creation the series, similar in scope to when they worked with Nickelodeon on the Penguins of Madagascar toon. The How to Train Your Dragon animated series will sport the same CG as the movie counterpart, and is set to hit Cartoon Network’s airwaves in 2012. It is not clear yet how much it will focus on either the Dragons, the Vikings, the training programs, or how Hiccup and Toothless will feature, but the world is big and dynamic enough for us not to care and just to love it anyway!
