Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness on Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon will premiere a new CG animated series based on the adventures of the legendary Po in Kung fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness on Monday, November 7 at 5:30pm. Co-produced with Dreamworks Animation SKG, the CG animated series will air new episodes all week after new episodes of Spongebob Squarepants at 5pm. Based on the Kung Fu Panda movie franchise, Legends of Awesomeness will feature the voice talents of Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels, Kill Bill) and James Hong (Big Trouble in Little China) reprising their roles in the movie, as Viper and Mr. Ping.

After the first week, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness will then move to a regular Friday 8pm timeslot (beginning December 2, 2011).

Nickelodeon will stream promotional content, sneak peeks, and other media materials on Nick.com in support of the premiere. Nick.com will also launch Kung Fu Panda: Tales of Po, which is a game based on the adventures of the fat panda as the legendary Dragon Warrior.

Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness will be executive produced by Peter Hastings (of Pinky and the Brain and Animaniacs) with Dexter’s Laboratory’s Gabe Swarr and Penguins of Madagascar’s Randy Dormans as supervising producers. The series will be produced at the Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Cal.
