Disney Starts Production on Mira, Royal Detective

Disney has recently announced the start of production on a new series titled Mira, Royal Detective. This animated mystery adventure series is targeted towards preschoolers. It is scheduled to debut on Disney Junior channels and programming blocks all over the globe in 2020.

Mira, Royal Detective is said to be focused on the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, where the brave and resourceful Mira is appointed to the role of royal detective despite being a commoner. This is due to her solving a mystery and saving the kingdom’s young prince in the process. Mira will be voiced by 15 year old newcomer, Leela Ladnier.

Joe D’Ambrosia, Disney’ Junior’s senior VP of original program noted, “We are eager to introduce kids and their families to the rich, diverse cultures and customs of India through Mira, a young girl who looks at things with her own unique lens to gain different perspectives and help others in her community. We hope that she will encourage our audience to actively engage with the inspiring world around them and appreciate the little details that make life extraordinary.”
