DreamWorks Animation’s Spirit Riding Free Gallops Towards Netflix

DreamWorks Animation’s new original series “Spirit Riding Free” will be making its way to Netflix’s streaming service this coming May 5, giving a fresh new take on the Oscar-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmarron and hopefully inspiring a brand new generation of fans.

The story of Spirit Riding Free takes after the original film’s, with a brave 12-year old girl named Lucky befriending a wild mustang that she names “Spirit.” With Lucky and her best friends (along with their horses), they go on a heartfelt journey and explore a world full of adventure, beautiful horses, and never-ending fun. The series aims to show the power of friendship and what freedom really means.

The voice cast includes Amber Frank as “Lucky,” Sydney Park as “Pru,” Bailey Gambertoglio as “Abigail, Darcy Rose Byrnes as “Maricela,” Nolan North as “Jim” and Kari Wahlgreen as “Aunt Cora.” You can check out a trailer of the new series below:
