Long Way North Premieres September 30


Shout! Factory Films is introducing a thrilling animated adventure this weekend in Los Angeles, New York and selected U.S. cinemas as Long Way North premieres on September 30.

Long Way North is directed by Rémi Chayé and produced by Maybe Movies, Sacrebleu Productions, France 3 Cinema, Norlum Studios and 2 Minutes. The film has won the coveted Audience Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. In addition, it won the Grand Prize and the Governor of Tokyo Award at Tokyo Animation Festival 2016.

The movie is set in 19th century Saint Petersburg and focuses on a young girl names Sacha who is born into the Russian aristocracy. Sacha is fascinated by the the life of Oloukine, her grandfather who’s an explorer and a famous scientist. Also, she’s tormented because of his disappearance. Going against her arranged marriage, she flees and starts her own mission to the North to look for her grandfather.

The English voice cast includes Vivienne Vermes, Chloé Dunn, Antony Hickling, Peter Hudson, Geoffrey Greenhill, Tom Perkins, Bibi Jacob, Claire Harrison-Bullett, Tom Morton, Martin Lewis, Kester Lovelace, Leslie Clack and Damian Corcoran. French voice cast features Feodor Atkine, Christa Théret, Thomas Sagols, Audrey Sablé, Rémi Caillebot, Fabirn Briche, Boris Rehlinger and Gabriel Le Doze.
