Despite the premature end of the Bleach manga series, fans hopes are kept alive by the announcement of a live action adaptation of Tite Kubo’s popular shonen series last year. We’re still a long way away from actually seeing the finished product, but a newly released visual offers a glimpse (albeit a shadowy one) of the series’ main protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, as played by 24 year old Souta Fukushi (who played Gentaro Kisaragi in Kamen Rider Fourze.) The visual also comes with news that narrows down the release date from 2018 to summer of the same year.

The live action film adaptation of Bleach is directed by Shinsuke Sato (GANTZ, I Am Hero) and will be distributed by Warner Bros.
