VIDEO: Hotel Transylvania: The Series Debuts on June 25

This coming Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm ET/PT, Hotel Transylvania: The Series will be making its grand debut via the Disney Channel. The series will consist of 26 x 22 minute episodes and will rely on 2D animation as opposed to CG. The series is produced in Toronto by Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studio.

For those who are unfamiliar with the original CG film from Sony Pictures Animation (yes, all three of you), Hotel Transylvania: The Series will focus on Dracula’s teenager daughter Mavis, as well as her three closest friends Hank N Stein, Pedro, and Wendy Blob as they try to prove what they can do, coincidentally while Dracula is away on “Official Vampire Business.” With help from her friends, Mavis tries her best to run the titular hotel but things get out of whack when Dracula’s older and meaner sister Aunt Lydia decides to step in and enforce order and tradition.

New episodes of Hotel Transylvania: The Series will be debuting every night at 8 pm from the premiere until June 29, before moving to its regular timeslot beginning Sunday, July 9 at 8:30 PM. The first episode will launch via the Disney Channel app, Youtube, and VOD outlets on Tuesday, June 20. Additionally, three new animated shorts that feature Mavis and Drac preparing to join the prestigious Vampire Council will air on June 4, ahead of the series premiere.

“We are thrilled to be teaming up with Disney Channel to share the visual and epic storytelling of Hotel Transylvania: The Series with audiences worldwide,” said Scott Dyer, President, Nelvana. “Working with our partners at Sony Pictures Animation, we are excited to build on the incredible global success of the franchise and bring the world of Hotel Transylvania to the small screen and family-friendly digital platforms.”
