The Super Mario and Legend of Zelda IPs have done real in driving the success of the Nintendo Switch. It looks like yet another first party franchise is about to make its mark on the console/handheld hybrid. Nintendo of Japan released a new trailer for Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze. This has Donkey and Diddy taking their Wii U adventure to Nintendo’s latest platform. You can watch it below:
The overview trailer should be enough to tell you if picking it up again (if you already had it on the Wii U) is justifiable, but it is worth remembering that enhancements are not really the main selling point. Rather, it would be the fact that you can now take the formerly home console-focused game anywhere you want.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be released for the Nintendo Switch on May 4, if you want to pick it up on day one.
