Marc Webb Won’t Be Around for Amazing Spider-Man 4

It seems that Marc Webb doesn’t want to stray from the tried and tested trilogy philosophy, as the director has confirmed that his directorial duties will end with amazing Spider-Man 3, despite the studio admitting that they want to extend the franchise beyond 3 movies.

Webb confirmed his tenure during an interview with The Daily Beast, claiming that the 3rd Amazing Spider-Man film will “close out” his tenure as the franchise’s director, citing that it’s time to find something else to do after that. However, it doesn’t mean Webb will walk away from the web-slinging hero completely, as the director admitted that he wants to stay on board in some capacity:

“I’d like to be involved as a consultant, and I’ve already talked to these guys about it.”
