The teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story premiered on Good Morning America on Thursday morning. It is set before Star Wars: A New Hope and focuses on the brave bid by a group of improbable heroes to outmanoeuvre the Empire and take the plans to its terrible super weapon, the Death Star.
The teaser provides a quick look of new characters performed by Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen. Mon Mothma will also come back to the screen, which is starred by Genevieve O-Reilly. Also, there’s a peek at black armoured baddies who are the Imperial Death Troopers.
The main cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed and Alan Tudyk. Produced by Kathleen Kennedy Simon Emanuel and Allison Shearmur, Rogue One is directed by Gareth Edwards. Jason McGatlin and John Knoll executive produced it and co-produced by Kiri Hart and John Swartz.
