Warner Bros. builds a hybrid LEGO film

When it comes to the world of animation, Lego is no n00b. The world famous building block toy has had a number of animated segments, whether its commercials for their products like Lego Ben 10, rendered cut scenes in video games like Lego Batman, or short-form animated films like the Lego Star Wars adventure starring R2-D2, or even their own productions like The Adventures of Clutch Powers. Now, Warner Bros. Pictures has signed with Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the folks behind Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, to bring the Lego movie to the big screen. The hybrid mix of live-action and CG animation film is still without a storyline or theater date, but we’ll be sure to …build details soon!
