Classic Looney Tunes Returns to Boomerang on October

This coming October 5, one of the greatest franchises in theatrical animated shorts will be returning to Boomerang, as the 24-hour classic animation network brings back Warner Bros’ classic Looney Tunes shorts via a one-hour block that airs on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7 am.

The classic Looney Tunes cartoons were first produced from 1930 to 1969, which is considered by many as the golden age of American animation. The cartoons originally showcased Warner-owned musical compositions via the adventures of cartoon characters like Bosko and Buddy, but soon introduced a roster of new toons that eventually rose to popularity and became synonymous with the industry itself: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety, Taz, Marvin the Martian, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Pepé Le Pew, and Speedy Gonzales. The cartoons last appeared on Boomerang in May of 2007.
