Free Browser-Based Game: Champions of Chaos 2

champions-of-chaos-2

It’s Wednesday again, which means time for another free browser-based game here on Toonbarn! This week, we’re going to address one of the problems with browser-based games, namely the fact that majority of them are designed for short bursts of play, which is fine most of the time as that’s exactly what many people want in a game, but what about people want something deeper and something that has more depth, story, and sense of progression? Easy: Champions of Chaos 2.

Champions of Chaos 2 is a turn-based point-and-click fighting game with a workable story. I’m not going to spoil the story here, because the sleek voice over narration in the intro movies (yes, it has intro movies) would be wasted. But for courtesy’s sake – you’re given a chance to play 2 Champions. As for why they are championing chaos and what exactly happened during Champions of Chaos 1, you’ll just have to play the game, below:

Zuko Monsters Game Released on Apple’s App Store for FREE

Zuko Monsters Game Released on Apple's App Store for FREE

It’s been teased last year and scheduled to come out December 2012 – there’s been a delay, which is par for the course in the industry – but Zuko Monsters is finally available on the iTunes App Store, and it’s available for FREE. You can download the game to your device via the following link: http://www.zukomonsters.com/

Technically, the fact that it’s free to play makes any review seem redundant, as the time you spend on reading could be better spent downloading the game and trying it out for yourself. But we suppose mentioning a few things is in order:

First, comparisons with the Pokemon franchise can’t be helped. But that’s not entirely a bad thing, as Pokemon became massively successful due to its quality – if Zuko Monsters managed to be as good, then all is well, and probably even better considering it’s free to play.
