European entertainment producer/distributor Millimages is getting ready to release a brand new app for iOS devices titled 64 Zoo Lane – Let’s Read Along with Alan, which is based on the same titled children’s series. The app will provide users with the option to save up to three different versions of the interactive book-reading assistance story. The books will be available in English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The app sells for 1.99 GBP on iTunes.

Scholastic Media is celebrating Clifford the Big Red Dog’s 50th Anniversary by launching a Cliford’s Big Birthday App for iOS based devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch). The app is designed to encourage kids into building critical language and literacy skills.

The Clifford’s Big Birthday app has Emily Elizabeth inviting players to help her in creating the best surprise party for Clifford the Big Red Dog’s Birthday. The activities include setting up the party, exploring, touching, hearing, and learning via streamer hanging, balloon sorting, cake decorating, all culminating in choosing the perfect present for the celebrant.

The free kids online portal Toon Goggles has recently inked a deal with Malaysia-based Animasia Studios in which several of Animasia’s properties will be made available to Toon Goggles’ users. The deal was recently announced by Toon Goggles’ exec vp of new media, Stephen Hodge, and Animasia’s managing director, Edmund Chan. The recent acquisitions are made up of ABC Monsters, Bola Kampung, Chuck Chicken, and Harry & Bunny Show.

DreamWorks Releases How to Train Your Dragon iOS App

DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. has just announced the release of a new iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch app based on their hit How to Train Your Dragon franchise, with the help of leading Smartphone games publisher PikPok.

Entitled DreamWorks Dragons: TapDragonDrop, the app is now available on the App Store, ready to take players to the Viking island of Berk, which has been struck by a great storm, resulting in the village’s sheep being scattered throughout the land. The goal of the game is to use wit and a bevy of new Dragon friends to solve puzzles and recover the lost sheep. The main game involves tapping, dragging, and dropping your dragon’s powerful abilities in order to interact with the environment and rescue the flock.
