Al Jazeera Children’s Channel Strikes Agreement with Disney

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) has recently announced a new free TV deal with Disney, Middle East and North Africa (MENA). JCC, which is a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has just acquired the rights to a selection of Disney’s most popular kids and family-targeted content, including popular Disney and Disney/Pixar movies as well as Disney Channel’s live action and animated series in the Middle East and North Africa.

Stitch! anime explodes onto Disney XD

Disney’s lovable alien experiment, Stitch will have made his debut on Disney XD Monday in the US television premiere of Stitch! the Japanese anime series produced by Madhouse. After globe trotting, the English version of this series will finally make its debut. But this time, Stitch doesn’t have Lilo by his side. He has a new friend Yuna, as the alien and his friends live in an island village of Japan.

The latest and greatest animated film to the Disney collection has just recently been released on Blu-ray and DVD March 16th, as we can welcome Tiana and her lovable tale The Princess and the Frog to our homes. The film marks Disney’s triumphant return to the realm of traditional animation, it’s first in the field since Home on the Range in 2004. Once Toy Story hit theaters in 1995, so many animated projects have drifted towards the computerized CG world that Pixar, and later DreamWorks and Sony amongst others, made so popular. Returning to it’s roots, and taking cues from Snow White, the movie that started it all, the House of Mouse has a true gem with The Princess and the Frog! But the tale can’t be all that easy, can it…?
