Wreck-It-Ralph Joins Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed Cast

The antagonist-turned-protagonist of Disney/Pixar’s upcoming movie, Wreck-It-Ralph, might not be a real videogame character in the sense that the videogame he’s in was only made for the purpose of the movie, but that’s all going to change soon as the titular character will be included as one of the playable racers in the upcoming sequel to Sega’s popular kart racer – Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed, making him a real videogame character on an established videogame franchise.

Raving Rabbids CG series is a scream for Ubisoft and Nickelodeon

They have funny ears, and they scream. They run at you with various attacks, and they scream. They fall down holes, get electrocuted, or just put on funny disco costumes and dance. …and they scream. Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids have, for years, been entertaining video game fanatics around the globe, long since stepping out of Rayman’s shadow. With their popularity spiking through hits on the Nintendo Wii, we often thought how fun it might be to see the Raving Rabbids on our televisions, as their own animated series. It seems like the good folks at Ubisoft Motion Pictures were listening to us, as they’ve been hard at work on over 70, 7-minute episodes featuring the rude little bunny mutants, ready to hit their air on Nickelodeon in 2013!

Sonic the Hedgehog 20th anniversary

Sonic the Hedgehog 20th anniversary

It was way back in 1991 when Sega first premiered Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis. From that moment on, Sonic became the company’s most iconic mascot, knocking Alex Kidd from the title, and never looking back. From his first appearance as a dashboard toy in Rad Mobile, to his Sonic X animated series, battling with Dr. Eggman and Dr. Robotnik, meeting up with Tails and Knuckles, through Sega CD and Dreamcast, the Sonic Storybook series, and more — Sonic has been a blue blur of excitement for over 20 years. It’s no wonder Sega is making big strides for the Hedgehog’s 20th anniversary. Sonic Generations will help get this point across in a big way, as gamers can play through new and classic episodes as Classic Sonic or Modern Sonic. Will you guys be celebrating his big day at your house?

Play as Classic Sonic! Play as Modern Sonic! Whether you’re an old school fan from the Sega Genesis and Dreamcast eras, or a new age fan from Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Sonic Colors, Sega’s latest blockbuster video game, Sonic Generations, has you covered. The title, set to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year, features a giant throwback to old fans while inviting new fans to jump aboard. 3D and 2D adventures mixed with blinding speed can only mean one thing; Sonic the Hedgehog is back – both of them – and they mean business.

Sonic Generations celebrates Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic Generations celebrates Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog is fast, blue, and just about to turn 20 years old. In celebration of the big 2-0, Sega is bringing out what could possibly be the biggest Sonic game to hit consoles in the two decades he’s been here. The title, Sonic Generations, will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year, readying to pay homage to the storied history of Sonic. The levels are like throwbacks to earlier Sonic games, re-imagining classics like the Green Hill Zone as throwbacks to the Sega Genesis, the Dreamcast, and so many eras between and since. Courtesy of some plot-based time holes, there are also multiple Sonics to choose from; the classic “chubby” Sonic, and the modern “skinny” Sonic, each with their own strengths and paths. The concept merges old with new, 3D with 2D, and all types of super hyper amaze-o speed. Best of all, it looks awesome. Check it!
