New Trailer for Digimon All-Star Rumble Uses Stop-Motion

Bandai Namco Games has just released a new trailer for the upcoming multiplatform brawler Digimon All-Star Rumble, no doubt meant to remind fans of its November 11 North American release. What makes the new trailer special is that it’s not made up of your run-of-the-mill CG gamplay footage – it has that in spades, but it also features stop-motion animation.

The trailer shows Agumon and Veemon duking it out, to the point where they had to digivolve. This is where the stop-motion animation comes in. Check out the trailer below:

Two Trailers That Should Not Be Missed: Master Jiang and the Six Kingdoms/The Last Fiction

Years  ago, I mentioned that the North American animation business wouldn’t always be on the forefront of animation across the world. That there will be other voices trying to get a shot at the global industry and marketplace.

While Latin America hasn’t truly panned out (there is one movie from Argentina dealing with Foosball, that is still looking for some distribution in the states) there are two very interesting films – both in 2d, that you should keep an eye on.

The first movie was mentioned by Cartoon Brew back in 2010, and now a trailer has arrived – its called the Last Fiction and its done by Iranian based Hoorhsaksh studios:

Adapted from the Shahnameh, the thousand-year-old epic Persian poem written by Ferdowsi, The Last Fiction tells the story of Kaveh, a blacksmith, who leads a revolt to destroy the devil that has appeared in a prince’s soul.

We’re still not done with Pokemon X and Y teasers! Or rather, the Pokemon company is not yet done with teasers, and we’re not yet done reposting them! This time around, it’s a pair of new videos showing off Pokemon X and Y’s opening.

The brief clips manage to show off the process involved when choosing your trainer, particularly between genders, and the base customization for each. You can check out both videos after the cut:
