Ultimate Spider-Man spins a web for Marvel

That’s right, the result is the upcoming Ultimate Spider-man cartoon, bringing the Disney superhero to Disney XD later next year. Just as Marvel readies the relaunch of Peter Parker on the big screen in the summer of 2012, super villains like the Green Goblin and Venom will be trying to take over the animated world, as well. As we learned from a Spider-Man sneak peek showing during C2E2 2011, the new toon takes place in the early days of Spiderman’s run, where the Web Slinger is still getting used to his powers, turning to supporting characters like Nick Fury to become The Ultimate Spider-Man.
