If you’re looking for a new free browser game to play and you’re a big fan of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, you should check out Nick Jr.’s Wubbzy’s Underwater Adventure, which is essentially a side-scrolling shooter set under the sea, and featuring Wubbzy (in a bubble shooting submarine) as your avatar.

The premise is simple (this is a kid’s game, after all). Make your way towards the end of the screen and keeping Wubzzy’s vehicle safe by avoiding obstacles or shooting them down with the sub’s bubble shooting…thingie. You can check out the game below:

Anchor Bay Entertainment is dropping off a bunch of new Wubbzy for us to Wow at. The latest DVD is titled Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Fly Us To The Moon, and will hit store shelves on Tuesday, November 16th. Included in the package are a number of different Wubbzy episodes, including Fly Us To The Moon, Tooth or Dare, Wonder Wubbzy, The Super Fixers, and the bonus episode All Bottled Up. The Bolder Media and Film Roman Animation Studio toon has been selling DVDs like hotcakes over the past few years, and demand is sure to wreak havoc for this one, particularly as we near the holiday season.

I know, I know… no one wants to hear it’s “back to school” time. I’m with ya. So let’s just ignore the “Wubbzy Goes to School” part of the title and instead concentrate on it being a new Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! DVD! The package, released by Nickelodeon and Anchor Bay Entertainment, features everybody’s favorite yellow, bendy-tailed buddy from Nick Jr. In the adventure, Wubbzy faces his fear, Widget trains to be a ballerina and everybody tries to learn tricks from Moo Moo The Magician. Join the fun, as Wubbzy and his friends meet new kids and discover new experiences, with plenty of singing and dancing along the way! The DVD features six episodes of the series, which is produced by Bolder Media in association with Starz Media’s Film Roman Animation Studio. Take a look at the teaser trailer

At a recent KidScreen Summit held in New York City, Hawaii Film Partners and Frederator Studios, the folks behind Nickelodeon’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and The Fairly OddParents, got to show off some of their TV projects to an international audience. Included in the mix was Ape Escape, the animated series based on Sony PlayStation’s Ape Escape video game. The series got its first chance on the air via Nickelodeon’s Nicktoons last summer, in July 2009. The series stars Spector, Future Ruler of the World, and his army of minions as they repeatedly, if not awkwardly, try to take over the planet – all thanks to the wonderful pipo-helmet. Wow! Wow! Beyonce!

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is having a major special guest event on Nickelodeon later this month as Beyonce Knowles lends her voice to the animated series as Shine, the lead singer of The Wubb Girlz. Shine will appear in four episodes, set to air Monday, April 27th through Thursday April 30th, at 10am each day. The following Friday, May 1st, will feature a special marathon called Wubb Idol, replaying all four episodes. In the episodes, Beyonce … I mean Shine… will be performing a new song called “Sing a Song.”

Nickelodeon celebrates Earth Day

Nickelodeon celebrates the planet on Earth Day, April 22nd, with new green-themed episodes of iCarly and True Jackson, VP, The Wonder Pets!, Olivia, and Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Noggin will also be showing green-themed episodes of Toot & Puddle, Yo Gabba Gabba! and Pinky Dinky Doo throughout the day. Both channels will also run segments with kids and what they are doing to protect the environment.  Me, I’m watching cartoons instead of polluting! 🙂

Wubbzy’s World Autism Awareness Day

Wubbzy's World Autism Awareness DayWubbzy isn’t just the star of the animated show Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!; he’s also into good causes! He has recently become the newest spokes-character to promote World Autism Awareness Day, on April 2nd. The Nick Jr. star will appear in public service announcements, getting people involved with the virtual “Walk on the Web.” Check out the official site for more details!

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! on DVD (!) and around the world (!)

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!Just last month, the animated series Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! launched on Hop! TV.  Now, the series will appear on Discovery Kids Latin America, Nick UK, Nick Australia and ABC Australia, each of which will start showing the second season this month.  If that wasn’t enough, Anchor Bay Entertainment will release Wubbzy DVDs, A Little Help From My Friends this week, and Pirate Treasure on March 24th, and Wubbzy’s Big Movie on May 12th, with a fourth DVD later in the year.

Starting this Friday, December 5th, Nick Jr. will be bringing us “Frosty Fridays”!  Each Frosty Friday will feature a mini-marathon with holiday-themed episodes.  This includes a new episode of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! A Great and Grumpy Holiday: The Super-Special Gift this Friday, December 5th. Future marathons will star The Wonder Pets!, The Backyardigans, Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, and Yo Gabba Gabba!
