According to a recent Deadline report, the fourth installment in Pixar’s Toy Story franchise has just signed a new writer, namely Stephany Folsom, who is notable for being one of the writers of Thor: Ragnarok, but was denied credit by the WGA. Her other big name projects include the unproduced Black List script 1969: A Space Odyssey Or: How Kubrick Learned To Stop Worrying And Land On The Moon, which is the imagined story of a publicist who convinces Stanley Kubrick to work with NASA to fake the moon landing.
Toy Story 4 was originally known to be written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, but the duo have since left the project. Jones has since gone on record to state that the reason for their departure was creative and philosophical differences, and not the current sexual harassment allegations being levied against John Lasseter. Toy Story 4 was originally slated for a June 2019 release.
